At SIMON Sinterlutions, we use special pressing and sintering processes to manufacture high-quality, complex parts as ready-to-install components and assemblies. Our products are used successfully all over the world: in the automotive industry, power tools, drive components, hardware components for the furniture industry, mechanical engineering and numerous other highly specialized fields of application. In the area of series production of functional components and assemblies, the sintering process represents a worthwhile alternative for many common technical applications. It offers numerous advantages, particularly in terms of resource conservation, economy and savings in material and weight. SIMON Sinterlutions has extensive experience in all processes such as calibrating, surface treatments, annealing and mechanical machining and is your specialist for small, medium and large series for products made of iron powder.

SIMON GROUP

SIMON Sinterlutions uses complex pressing and sintering processes to produce high-quality, sophisticated, ready-to-install components for use in the automotive, power tools, mechanical engineering and furniture industries.

The SIMON GROUP is characterized by flat hierarchies and flexible processes in all areas – from administration to purchasing, quality management, electronics workshop, laboratory and toolmaking to IT.

As an independent company, BETEK is part of the SIMON GROUP, which evolved from the Karl Simon company founded back in 1918. Today, the SIMON GROUP consists of the companies SIMON Sinterlutions, SITEK and BETEK, as well as the profit centers SIMON Tooling and SIMON Analytics.

With SIMON Analytics, we have an in-house testing laboratory. Here we carry out corrosion tests, climatic tests and coating thickness measurements, as well as other special tests on request.

SIMON Tooling manufactures tools for its own needs and for external customers. This involves maintenance, as well as the construction of samples and the production of small series.

SITEK manufactures carbide tipped tools, carbide powder and studs for winter tires and is one of the leading manufacturers. The company has established itself as a technology partner of the major tire brands, and is involved in the development process of new tire models at well-known manufacturers.

INDUS Holding AG has its headquarters in Bergisch Gladbach. The German investment company, which is listed on the SDAX, aims to make long-term investments in medium-sized manufacturing companies. In the German-speaking region, there are currently 43 corporate investments, which are divided into three segments. The quality management system we practice is described in our quality management handbook on the basis of standards ISO 9001 following IATF 16949, and is binding for the entire SIMON GROUP. HEALTH PROTECTION

The health of our employees is very important to us. It is – just like compliance with occupational health and safety topics – an important part of our corporate culture. For this reason, we work systematically to optimize our working conditions – with a constant focus on health and safety.

The basis for this is the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S management system) in accordance with ISO 45001 and the consistent application of these preventive measures. This helps prevent accidents, reduce absenteeism and improve the overall health situation of our team.

As in all other areas, we also attach great importance to comprehensive sustainability in purchasing. This is also reflected in our requirements for current and potential suppliers.

MATERIALS LABORATORY

Our claim is to manufacture the highest quality products on the basis of seamless quality assurance. Therefore, at SIMON Sinterlutions, we carefully analyze all raw materials supplied and, in addition, carry out a detailed inspection of our own powder mixtures and granules. All our semi-finished and sintered parts are also subject to continuous testing. For example, we measure for hardness or determine carbon content or magnetic characteristics. With regard to carbide grades, tests are carried out predominantly for density, flexural strength and wear.

We carry out all measurements and tests in our workshop laboratory using the latest equipment. These include, for example, an ICP spectrometer for elemental analysis, various light microscopes for assessing microstructures, and a scanning electron microscope with up to 10,000 x magnification. Other fixed components of our laboratory equipment are a laboratory attritor for process and product development, a rotary evaporator and laboratory furnaces for near-series sintering.
